Default Went to the track again

Hi all well our drag racing season is over and our last meeting was Nelson Drag Racing Clubs 25th anniversary. We race at an air field in Motueka it is in the South Island of our country I live in the North lsland. We catch a ferry down though the Melbourne Sounds very beautiful part of our New Zealand. We arrived in Nelson and my friends 69 Camaro was running rough so took a look at it changed the spark plugs still had a miss I said we need a compression tester and Matt said I have one so we checked the dead cylinder it was under 50 psi we were at a meet and greet for the 25th anniversary which was being held at local garage the owner said we could use his workshop. So off came the offending head of the 350 found a blown gasket the owner of workshop had all the parts we needed 4 hours later all back together and running great.Next day Easter Saturday at the track. I got a personal best time of 12.56@112mph then I managed to win the day we run dyo in super street class. So are having a great time away today we are of on a mystery tour20180330_124810.jpg

Nice story! Good run. Is it getting cold "down under" yet? What was the temperature and what is the elevation a the track, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for sharing. Would love to visit someday. Made it to Australia east coast briefly (US Navy dayz), but NZ wasn't on the tour (apparently!).

Hi Paul
Sorry for the slow reply got last night and had unpack and have load a video of one of the race's from Saturday
The weather has been great down here little cold in the morning I'm guessing that the temperature was somewhere between 20-25°c.
We got a little rain stop the racing for about 1/2 an hour.
The track is at sea level.
I am very fortunate to live in New Zealand the country is beautiful and Motueka where we were racing is better than alot of rest of the country we had very good drive back thought Queen Charlotte Sound took some photos if you would like I can post some on here for you.
