Thanks again Jim. Ok folks heres the end result. If you have questions PM me. I had help on this from a local installer but I was there every step of the way..... I can help with the pesky illumation wire and the Varible speed sensor if you are so inclined. Also all the pitfalls. Dream Carz of Arizona hooked me up I now have a modded Z-2/Z-3 with full Nav, Sirius, Bluetooth, voice command and can play DVDs!

First the radio I replaced when I bought the car 2 years ago!!

My ZR-1 Splash screen, I see this everytime I start the Z!

You need to upgrade the car to keep up with all the snazzy stereo stuff.

A few folks had questions. So these should clear those up. The NAV antenna and Sirius Antenna are hidden under the Center grill next to the heat load sensor in the center dash. Lucky for me my cutout extends that far

Im using a dash mat because hey I live in AZ but no wires are exposed trust me. Im using a Boyo Rear View camera that is intergrated in the the License plate frame. It is adjustable both up and down and has 340 lines of resolution and will work in extreme low light. Reverse images included. My speakers and Subwoofer are from Memphis and the 800 Watt Sub is from Nitro. The low profile enclosure is nothing fancy but I can still store gear and the other top panel in the rear as well. My voice recoginition Mic extends out of the left of the center AC vent approx Steering wheel level GC

Is that split-screen Nav screen a feature of the new version software? I don't think that I have that option.

Have you figured out how to use Voice Command to select a specific Music Library track?

What is the button that you relocated to the lighter for?

Jim yes you do have access to it on your Z2 by hitting the MAP button on the bottom of you HU and change the view to forward looking or X2 2d Map display. I completed my upgrade just last night 20 min process. Very happy will send you the details and the guys email I bought it from the AVIC411.COM forum

No as I have no music loaded beyond my IPOD, In short I havent even messed with it lol.

Its a clutch bypass switch, Previous owner was tired of being towed due to the infamous clutch switch problem. His solution was to put it in the pocket of the Metra install kit as seen in my first picture. He also had lots of groovy LEDs from various alarm systems I had removed from the car and I had to buy a new bezel to get rid of all the accessory holes. I moved the button to the lighter position as is pretty much useless anyway. Next project is to route a power point into the console in the deep well area using the cell phone accessory wire. Also closing the lid to the cup holder area allows me to hide the big ugly button.
