Default horn repair tip

My horns started to fail intermittently. The adjustment screw on each horn doesnt look like it would adjust or even have movement. If it wasnt for the manual, I never would imagine its an adjustment item. I rotated the adjustment screw on each horn 90 degree in each direction and back to its original position. Proper adjustment is based on amp draw, but I wasnt getting too far, so a quick turn was my alternate. They are still working 9 months later.

Arrow Re: horn repair tip

I replaced one of my horns (drivers side) with an alarm siren. Since you can't flash the lights on the vette (most of em anyway) I figure the horn/siren is the way to go 4 safety reasons. My sound is good enough to get the attention of an old man mowing the yard on a rider mower(first test I tried). Works great for those corvette visually impaired drivers we always seem to come upon (usually at great speed and when least expected)!!!

Default Re: horn repair tip

Thanks for the heads up, Mike. I'm filing this one away.
