Default Need AC Evaporator Core for 91'

After switching over to R134, we detected a leak in the evaporator in my 91'.
I ordered a new one from a long time Corvette parts supplier here in Fl. That was an ordeal that I will gladly tell you about in the future, but it doesn't fit.

We pulled it out, and it's going back, but I still need a NOS unit, or an AMERICAN MADE new one, or even a low miles used one. Jerry's doesn't list them, and I will look on EBay, but does anyone have a useable one on the shelf somewhere? It's like an oven down here.

Thanks in advance, Bob.

Contact Mirrock Corvette. They are a member here and specialize in C4 parts. It is a goal of theirs to know what fits what years. I met them at BG. Google search for the website.

Thanks Steve, I talked to Mark at Mirrock and he was very helpful. He’s keeps a dozen C4’s that he parts out, but no ZR-1’s at the moment.
BTW, Mark owns a 92’ ZR-1.
I sent him pixs, and we determined that Eckler’s sent me a base model C4 evaporator. One of those parts that is definitely NOT interchangeable. Who knew?
Their website claims, “Made in the USA”, but they forgot to pull off the sticker that says, Mgf. In China”. It has a stiff price over $250.

Rockauto has one but not sure if it’s American made.

I spent quite a bit of time with Mark and Brooke at Bowling Green last month very smart couple. According to Mark's interchange tables on his website model years 90,91,92 have the same evaporator. Others on here have had good luck with Vette2Vette up in Illinois too. But, putting in a new part makes the most sense.

I might have one from a 1990.

Let me know if you still need one.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've got some side by side pix that I'll try to post.
The aluminum tube lines to the the core have the same fittings, but they are oriented differently and are not a bolt in fit. One is a different length too, and the connecting line to the compressor is a fixed length aluminum line with no flexible hoses to allow an easy mod.
The fittings on the vertical line at the core are pointed in different directions too. In short, this is not a replacement for a ZR-1 evaporator core.
Eckler's continues to claim that this is the correct part for a C4 ZR-1, even after seeing the pix I sent them. I'm getting a refund, but if anyone thinks about ordering one from them, ask for a couple of pix of the top of the core, you'll see the problem as I described.

Note: The gray box is from Eckler's, the shiny one is the original from my car.

Update:

Pete is sending me an evaporator he has off a 90'. If it passes a pressure test we'll use it.
If I can't find a good used or NOS ZR-1 unit, I'll buy a base model 91' evaporator and graft the ZR-1 connecting tubes on it. But that sounds like too much work,

I bought one of these over the winter for my 91 ZR-1. A/C perfectly cold no issues.

It fit perfectly. I had to drill some small holes for mounting brackets.

Surprising quality for the money. Shipped pressurized with nitrogen so you know it has coil integrity when you install it. Comes with new green o-rings also.
