Default Daytime driving lights

Thanks to Jim Voter for taking the time to install the daytime running lights module. The parking lights and amber side markers light up on the high/bright filaments. In the past, if I had the parking lights on it was on the low filaments and the tail lights were on.

I'm guessing you didn't activate the rest of the actual DRL function. Correct?

In your vicinity I believe there are stretches of highway that require "lights on" even for daytime travel. I wouldn't think this would pass the test. Do they?

Hey Charlie,
Did you have Jim install them for our fall run at the drag strip, that way I will be able to see you when pull away. LOL

The DRL module activates the yellow turn signals in front and the yellow side markers. Doubt this would qualify for true "lights on". If needed, I would just turn on my parking lights with fog lights activated.

Nelson, missed you but understand you were running around Hersey with a sign around your neck looking for 1930 car pieces...............

I am glad that you are happy with the mod.

The module/kit was well made and well documented. The installation was as easy as any wiring job that involves opening wire bundles ever is. NOTE: The installation requires cutting wires to the front park/turn lights. The kit comes with wire nuts to make connections. Charlie and I decided to solder the connections after we used the wire nuts to verify the set up.

For anyone interested in always on running lights, here is a link to Web Electric Products:

Just look for Charlie's beautiful 1992 ZR-1. It is the display model for the product.

Jim

I read the instructions for the install and the questions I had regarding what they call "synchronization" answered my questions. It's certainly an inexpensive add. Interesting

I couldn't link the instructions but there's a link to "instructions" in the left column from Jim's link to the product.

I've been running this mod for 6 years now. It's a great safety mod and very affordable
