Racetronix Injectors - any good?
After long research what type of Injectors are in m Z I finally stumbled across those https://www.racetronix.biz/p/205-lb-...ondary/01d044x
Considering the amount of rust they show I wonder about the overall quality. Any experience? My engine runs good but not great. Bit rough idle and some other minor things that might or might not be related to injectors. I think they were installed by a GM dealership a long time ago but have not seen more then 10000 miles since than, probably less. Any opinions? 20210724_190605.jpg

When I could not find OEM Bosch EV1 injectors for my 1994 LT1, I adapted the newer style EV6 injectors. I would guess you can do the same for LT5. EV14 might also be adaptable. This way you can stick with Bosch.

Interesting. I thought the RC injectors were preferred. Mine have been in the car for 150000 miles and work great.

Mark Haibek has a paper discussing fuel injectors on his website, zr1specialist.com. His recommendation is Accel injectors for replacements. In your situation, if you haven?t already, his paper would prove a good read.

Re: Racetronix Injectors - any good?
I spoke to Marc two days ago and he recommends Accel or RC.
But he has no experience with what's in my car. That's why I'm asking

Re: Racetronix Injectors - any good?
Whichever injectors u select, I would highly recommend having them flow tested and then match the pairs. That made a significant difference for me in terms of idle, cruising smoothness, and mpg after installing the FICs I am currently using. Also, ask for the Injector Bias values from the supplier. These are values you will want to use in ur calibration in order for the tune to be correct. It particularly affects idle and part throttle quality.

Re: Racetronix Injectors - any good?
I will consider this once I replace them. These were installed 25 years or so ago and I have absolutely no information about them.
maybe it's simply worth to swap them and do it right this time.
