Default April 30th, drag racing at Mason-Dixon!

From here (you know the drill for fixing the url censorship): http://forums.*************.com/1577232855-post2.html

Anyone interested? Maybe I can be someone's pit crew or something...

Dates: 4/30/11 & 10/29/11 (both Saturdays)

Test and tune/drag racing session

Where: Mason Dixon Dragway, Boonsboro, MD
Time: 8 AM-12 Noon (4hr Private Track Rental, UNLIMITED RUNS!)

Driver price: PayPal $52.00 per driver to Enforcir@gmail.com OR mail $50.00 per driver (check made out to Cyril Coburn) to: NVMC, PO Box 104, Amissville, VA 20106. Either of these pre-payment options must be done NLT a week ahead of the event. Pre-payment is preferable as we must have 30 pre-paid drivers 2 weeks ahead of the event or the event risks cancellation. Or you may pay $60.00 cash per driver @ the gate the day of the event.

Spectator price: $10.00 (Driver gets 1 crew member in FREE)

Special (Driver) Requirements:
*Mufflers mandatory
*1/4 sleeved shirt and pants, NO SHORTS or OPEN TOED SHOES
*Seat belts in working order
*Proper safety equipment per your vehicles performance level i.e. (helmets for cars faster than 13.99, roll bar for cars faster than 11.49, etc.)
*10 MPH speed limit in the pit area!!!
*NO air conditioning on in staging lanes, ALL windows up during burnout and run

At the gate you will:
*Pay your fee (if you did not pre-register)
*Get a wrist band (goes on left wrist)
*Sign competition waiver
*Get a tech inspection card to fill out and bring back to the staff

In the event of rain, call Ebby (703) 200-6803 or Ceece (703) 346-8151 if you have any questions regarding the event being on time.

Not sure it'd be welcome at a 'vette/'stang event. But also it'd be sort of pointless. It's a heavy car and they don't put power down well at all. I'm certain it would be in the mid 13's.

It sounds like Mike's planning on going. Sean will certainly bring his C6, assuming Sterling Chevy gets a trans in it by then (they've had the car a month).

You guys gonna go? Or are you all saving it up for BG? Might be a good shake-down instead of waiting until you are 12 hours from home!

I am planning to be at Mason-Dixon on the 30th. My son Roger said that he will attend also, so it should be a good time.

So Mike's not gonna make it. Sean may or may not, Sterling Chevy broke some magnetic ride sensor when doing his trans, and they may not have it fixed by Saturday.

You still planning on going Jim? I don't want to drive up there and just watch some 'stangs! Also, will you take the 368 if you go?

Yes I am planning to be at Mason-Dixon on Saturday with two cars.

I am installing a line lock in the Black Z and I am waiting for new tires. (I probably won't be pushing too hard on the 8-year old tires.)

The Quasar just got replacement injectors and is running fine. It will be my first chance to try out the newly ported plenum and IH's.

I hope to see you there Bob.

You guys are killing me!! I didn't want to go out to Mason Dixon and break something just before BG but I just can't resist. I'll be there!!!

Guess I could always invoke the JV Loaner Program for BG?? Seeing as the red Z has been the loaner in the past...by default that would make black LF the new loaner now????

Don't worry guys, I'll throw some spare spindles and half shafts in the trunk before I head out.
