Feb. 12 Vintage Car Show

Main Street will be packed full of vintage cars, roadsters, hot rods, and even a few modern vehicles. Live rockabilly, swing and bop music will be provided by Kenny Love and the Rockerfellas. Radio personality Charlie Huera from KOOL-FM will also be on hand to host a retro costume contest with prizes and giveaways.
A nostalgic father-daughter/mother-son “sock hop,” featuring 50’s era tunes, dance lessons and interactive games, with a retro-themed photo booth will take place in the corridor between Norterra’s Pita Jungle restaurant and Harkins Norterra 14 Theatre. Other activities include free food samples from Norterra’s diverse restaurants, enter-to-win prizes and giveaways.

More raffles, Food trucks, venders, arts, dragster crackle, and lowrider hopper.

Registration is 8-10 am. Show begins at 10 am. Awards are approximately 2 pm. Classes are by years Pre-1939-Present divided into 5 classes by Cars-Original Cars-Modified Trucks-Original Trucks-Modified, Vettes,Vipers,etc., Foreign, 4X4, Under Construction, Motorcycles:Original, Modified and Harley. Awards are Most Patriotic, Best Choice, Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Best of Show Motorcycle. Raffle, 50/50 Raffle, Auction, Food, t-shirts and a goodie bag to the first 100 participants. This is a FUNDRAISER. All money benefits the Apache Junction High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (AJHS NJROTC).

This is not a formal "white gloves" concours but rather a fun gathering of car enthusiasts who will be the judges themselves. Held in a spectacular setting on grass the 2015 event drew 444 cars. Awards will be given to Best Domestic, Best Import, Best of Show and for any club brand that has at least ten cars registered. The show will be opened by Bob Bondurant and Arie Luyendyk. There will be food and coffee trucks.
