Default Is a backfire common to LT5s?

When I am going 30-40mph and let off the gas to downshift, I hear one distinct backfire then that's it. Is that common?

Mods: Al flywheel, headers, 3" desert exhaust, PROM, Al radiator, upgraded oil cooler, large rotors with air duct to brakes, ram air with K&N filter, roll bar with 5 point harness.

With headers.. yes its common

The backfire is in the defueling in the chip. Take the chip out or have another done and tell the tuner about the problem.
