Default Your Mileage May Vary

I saw 8CAM's 44444 pic and I focused on the
Average 16.2 MPG. Mine is also in that range
with both city and highway driving. What do you
get?

Yep that's about right, lots of city driving and it runs around 17mpg. Out on the highway and I've gotten as much as 28mpg on a road trip. That pic was 2.5 years ago and since then I've replaced coils, wires, plugs, fixed vacuum leaks, and done a ton of other changes/fixes. When I first got the car I couldn't get more than about 24mpg on a road trip. With all the work I've done, my road trip mileage has gone up 3-4mpg, while my city mileage has improved maybe 1mpg.

I drove my well sorted out stock 1990 z to the May gathering 2015. Traveled 4987 miles and averaged 25.6 mpg from Washington state to Bowling Green to Chicago (Marc's shop) back home to Yakima Washington. AC on part of the trip.

23-24 mpg highway. If it's city mix then 17-18 mpg. Sometimes it is hard to keep the foot out of it

Yep! Same here. 432 rwhp (that's 508 ish at the FW) and best mileage of any vehicle in the bunch!

NOTE: I never really went by the mpg read-out. Mine was done the old fashioned way: gallons/mileage calculation by hand.

Same here. My avg reads 19.2 right now. But I've probably only driven 60 miles around here since a 400 mile trip to Paducah last fall for a show. But I would say that 19 is pretty average for it. 25-26 hwy at 75-80 mph..
