you are going to want to Hyde when the repair bills on the SL start coming in

For My SL600 since I bought it 10 weeks ago; of which its run about 2

*$155 hyd suspension hose failure(I replaced myself)
*Trunk release($500 part) I fixed part and replaced
*Radiator failure($250) I replaced myself
*Cracked Rim $200
*New rear tires $600
*$1400 coil failureD/S(replacing now)
*$1400 coil failure P/s(Replacing now)
*24 spark plugs @ $8 Per(I am replacing, Mercedes charges $1200)

Before I pulled the trigger, I asked Dempsey if he could work on Mercedes and his answer was "f**k yeah!". So I pulled the trigger.

Its not the work, its 1)Part Cost 2)They make it a pain in the *** to pull trouble codes.

Its a V8....Yun is that the NA or TT motor?

NA. 5.5 liter quad cam, 382 hp/391 ft lbs. Sounds familiar? It has variable valve timing and variable intake (dual length).
You do need a good scanner to pull codes and reset reminder/trouble lights. So, I have a icarsoft MBII i980 scanner coming.
