I'm the new guy
Hi everyone, I've only recently joined as a member of the forum, but I've been reading the posts and articles for some time. I figured I'd stop in and say hi. I've always been a vette fan. I can remember looking at old pictures of my dad's war bonnet yellow 71' LT1. He sold it to buy my parents first house. My uncle's got a 58' he rebuilt our of bushel baskets. It only took him about 15 years. I've got alot of great memories of going to see him and getting to see the car in its various stages of restoration.
Anyway, its only recently I've actually been able to possibly afford my own Corvette. I've looked at the C6s, to pricy for me. The C5s, to many around. Which led me to the C4s. I knew a thing or two about the C4 ZR1s, or at least I thought I did until I found ZR1.net and this forum. I've not looked around all that much, but this is by far the nicest group of guys in general and on a forum I've ever seen. I'm a member of a few other automobile boards, and they pail in comparison to this one. A little about me, in case anyone is wondering, I'm 26 and a Staff Sergeant in the USAF. Stationed in England, but currently back in Iraq. I'm really looking forward to reading through the posts to build my ZR1 knowlage base. Like I've said before, I am interested in buying a ZR1, but my present location means I'm in no big rush. Anyway, just saying hi to everyone. |
