Heat gun to repair license plate frame?
The bottom center edge is bowed out a bit. I was considering taking it off the car, then putting some weight on it to hold it flat while warming it with a heat gun to reshape it.
Has anyone tried this and succeeded or wished they hadn't? I certainly don't want to ruin it. Thank you.

Should work. Be careful not to use to much heat. BTW the frame in the photo is upside down.

Re: Heat gun to repair license plate frame?
Hi, I do not know if this can be done, but its worth try. I have heated plexglass sheet when I made fixed headlights on my 1990 ZR-1. It was done in an old oven at 150 deg. Heat gun should work so heat it slow. Have your flat surface ready, then lay the license plate frame down, cover with cloth and heavy weight let cool completely.
If it doesn't work I had the ZR-1 rear license plate holder reproducted from my original license plate frame. Cost is $150.00 plus shipping. let me know if you need one. PM me or email at zr1john@gmail.com on how to order. Hope this works for you John 1990 white/black #2546 one of a few 4l8OE eq ZR-1's |

Re: Heat gun to repair license plate frame?
I flipped it and the eyesore is gone, for now, but maybe I'll heat it up in the future.
