Default 90 with only 53 miles

I ran across this 90 with 53 miles in New Jersey. A lot of money. Has to be one of the lowest mile 90's out there.

That is a very nice example. I wonder how having so few miles would affect it? What would be required before starting it up?

Anything rubber, all fluids, battery, injectors, and fuel pumps would be my first guess.

I guess it's a matter of perspective, but I just don't get the obsession with low mileage, especially ultra low, never even driven mileage like this.

Seems like it's one of the worst things you could do to a car from a maintenance perspective is to let it sit for 30yrs untouched. What's even the point of building a high performance car just to have it sit? I mean just put a cool looking body, interior, and wheels together and look at it.

I guess I should be happy. If the cars I'd be interested in, the ones that have been driven a few thousand miles a year and properly maintained, sell much cheaper, all the better.

I guess I'll never be a successful car collector...

Sorry for rambling...

I forget where, but one intuitive individual remarked in a post that these cars now are eligible for the reduced taxation rate if imported into a European Union country as they are now 30 years old.
Expect to see an uptick in these cars headed over there.
Like art and artists, sometimes you get more respect from another part of the world than at home.
These cars are recognized as the "super-cars" that they have always been since their introduction in many places.
Demand for "new" and used ones will slowly build as more find what a bargain they are.

There will certainly be an uptick, but it isn't going to be an explosion. Imagine trying to get parts and service for one of these in Europe...
