Default high coolant temperature

Hi , need some help.....
after few moments the car is stopped cooling fans go off but cooling temperature still going up . Go back on the road , and temperature dropped to the normal ........... Stickly thermostat ? or what else can be
wrong ? It was first ride today ater long winter slipping .

while Im driving is temperature arround 90 - 92 celsius , when i stopped car temperature start growing and both fans go on at 96 degrees and temperature claimb to 98 and stay there regardless both fans running.
Before today usually fans were put down temperature in cca 10 -15 sec and they turn off at 90 degrees.
Also check cooling level and it is normal

ok , but still dont understand why temp stay there and doesnt dropp if both fans are running , usually were fans put temperature down and turn off for awhile...

No problem as stated you are not having a problem those temps are normal.

My 92 has about 22000 miles. 2 years ago, replaced the thermostat and flushed the entire system and filled with GM recommended coolant. With Marc's chip that turns the fans on earlier, even on the hottest days of summer, the temps oscillate from about 197 to 205 deg F. Before this, the hottest was about 230 deg F.

have you pulled the radiator cover and see if the fins on your radiator are plugged . our cars are like a hoover vacuum cleaner . they gobble up every thing .plastic bags , leaves and small rodents .jk.i am willing to be that your radiator fins are partially plugged
