VIN's Exposed - Thanks Guys
Many thanks to Jim and Bob for work they've done on the VIN's and RPO's for all ZR-1's and thanks to Mom for making this information available.

Re: VIN's Exposed - Thanks Guys
It was Jim's vision and hardwork, I just helped him out.
As to the data, there seem to be some discrepancies with the way some of the cars' production options were digitized. Some have RPO's that are not real (they have things like periods in them), which were likely transcribed incorrectly into digital format. Some have been corrected because they were fairly obvious (like a two-top car with no roof option, but a mysterious "wrong" option that is quite similar to a clear top selection). Some are not obvious at all. So if your specific car has a problem and you know for sure what the build option was, let us know and we'll fix it. This doesn't affect the major options like colors, air-con, etc. It's the stuff that has no real meaning so it's hard to know what they are. It's not many cars either, but it would be nice to get those little things worked out.

Re: VIN's Exposed - Thanks Guys
Bob/Jim,
If the discrepancies were consistent I would think I could likely sort them. If you've a "sampling" of the car numbers and the RPO's you believe were incorrectly generated send them on and I'll check those car numbers and the RPO's! -Dave |

Re: VIN's Exposed - Thanks Guys
I agree with Bob. There are still a lot of things that we will be able to learn about the VIN's and RPO's as more people examine the data.
I enjoyed putting this together, and I hope others will get enjoyment out of learning more about our cars. Jim |
