Default Gauging WAZOO interest in a video series

Gents,

Included this in my last post, but it probably deserves its own post...

I've been in contact with a gentleman who lives in Mt. Airy (he's a member of some C4 pages on Facebook) who's interested in producing a few videos highlighting the C4 Corvette generation - both the cars and the community.

Any WAZOO members interested in having their cars - and maybe yourselves - become famous and be included in the series? I'm expecting he'll want to make a few episodes: maybe the C4 in general, and separate ones on the ZR-1, the Callaway models, and maybe even a couple of the other special models. I think that it'd be nice to have him out to the next event so he can meet some of us and let us know what his concept is.

Thoughts and/or interest?

Scott

I have always felt that a show could be made out of our Wazoo maintenance days! Sure many of us would be good with that. I am sure we will have a maintenance day before Carlisle and that would be in his backyard.

I was thinking that a maintenance day would be the perfect chance for him to meet the group... as long as Jim is ok with me extending the invite. I don't want to just assume that he's ok with that.

Wazoo is our little local subgroup of the Registry. Stands for Washington Area ZR-1 Owners Association. We get together monthly for maintenance days at Jim's (QB93Z) in Westminster, MD where he has a lift in his home garage and all the power tools, special tools, parts, etc to maintain our cars. Great social get together that also keeps our cars on the road. I would not trust the dealer but I trust my Wazoo brothers 100%. Whomever s car we work on the most that day has to buy the pizza......I should own stock in the local pizza place by now!

ah cool.. I had it close in my head.. washington Zr1 owners .. but couldn't place the second O at the end and was confused by MD members as I thought Washington would be the state of WA..

either way, nice that you have the group. I will offer something similar in Nashville area if I can ever find a builder to construct the shop I want. Been trying for 6 months, can't even get a quote!

Hey WAZOO team, any idea what time we can bring our cars to the Zr1 tent on Friday? is there a specific time the gates open? I am driving from Pittsburgh and was wondering what time I should leave in the morning. Any help would be appreciated

Anthony

I believe the gates are open to registered guests all day. I will be leaving Ellicott City, MD about 0700 with other Wazoo members on Thursday and should be at our tent around 0900. If you will be there on Friday, people will be at the tent normally starting around 0800 or so, just depends how much "fun" we had the night before at Boomerangs! See you soon and safe travels.

Ok so I should get there early to get a good spot. Sounds good, thanks. Sounds like I need to leave pretty early in the morning. Thanks Dredgeguy!
