Default Productive week...

Have had a good couple weekends. I was able to lower the front end with the wedge kit.Rear will be done in the future. Cut the rotors and installed Hawk pads, cleaned the suspension.

I have a vacuum leak somewhere and I have oil leak at the breather cover. So Im replacing the breather gaskets . the IH gaskets and resealing everthing . What a mess under there.

-=jeff=- was a big help getting the new Dymags to the stripper so they can be powdercoated. Next up is figuring out if Im going GY or Kuhmo's.

Then the last project is a set of seats out of a newer model....

Then I can start on the 79......

Anybody know?

What does the OEM 90-93 Sport seat weigh? If/when I remove one I will weigh it, I do have a 94-96 base seat assembled to get a close weight from

Well, the standard 95s ARE lighter than the 90 sport seats - sans motors and switches, etc. - maybe 3-4# ea.? Some weight can be removed, I suppose, if the electric tracks were replaced with the manual adjusted type. Or, since you are the only driver you could replace the track with aluminum square tubing and drill holes in them to mount the seats to fit you.

And, now that I think about it some sort of a track could be fabricated out of aluminum, if you want to make a significant reduction in the seat/track combo....Just a thought.

Lee, last week when I looked at the wheels close I changed my mind. Chris didnt remove hardely and of the PC from the barrels. And there was media material under the PC. So before i go through the effort to mount tire I decided to redo them and go with a lighter color. More of a pewter in place of ther graphite on them now.

Q: Did you turn the rotors in effort to just clean them up for the new pads, or was there a hard spot one one (or more) of them; the infamous "warped rotor" syndrome?

Having recently swapped '91 seats for '96 seats, the later seats are definitely a few pounds lighter.
