Default 90 Keyless Entry

Can someone recommend a good keyless entry system for my 90? Don't need anything fancy, just want something for the doors and trunk and fairly simple to install. Thanks!

I had a local guy do mine. I don't know the make, but he did entry, hatch, and windows. The only problem has been the relays in the door have gotten water in them. He sealed them better and have not been a problem since.

The VKE1000 is a GM over the counter system that used to be sold GM parts departments.

Has anyone actually installed a 93 keyless entry system on a earlier car. Not the VKE1000.

So is the VKE-1000 plug and play or do I need to buy anything else to make it work?

No VKE is not plug and play. Soldering and understanding of the qiring of both come into play. I had a VKE for my last vette. This one has a Directed Electronics kit. Funny thing is the wiring is 98% the same as the VKE yet much cheaper

Thanks for the info on the VKE. I may see what some local installers have and,are comfortable installing.
