Question Normal Engine Temp?

I have a '95 with about 8000 miles. The observed engine temp driving at 60 MPH with 75 degree air temp and A/C off is around 192 degrees (consistently). Today, the air temp was 95 degrees and with the A/C on, the engine temp was between 210 - 215 degrees.

Is that a "normal" temperature given the conditions?

Thanks.

Yes. I have a 94 and temp was about the same. Now that I made some mod, 95 degree day crusing is about 198. In the winter, about 30-35 degrees, I see about 180 degrees.

Looks right. If you are concerned about temps, you can swap out the stock ECM chip to cause both fans to come on instead of the single fan operation experienced with the factory chip. This will lower your maximum temperature in traffic. You may know that with the factory setting, both fans will only operate when the AC is active.

Marc Haibeck will provide such a chip which also adds other nice features (like full power normally on rather than having to switch it on - you can switch it off with the key).
