Default Wipers won't wipe

My problem is the driver's side wiper blade gets trapped behind the hood lip and the only way to get it to the windshield is to open the hood. I've bought two sets of aftermarket blades, broke both of them. Went to the Chevy store and bought what they said were the correct blades. Still won't work. I have tried adjusting the hood, but to get it to clear it has to be adjusted so high it won't latch. Anyone have any ideas? Any help greatly appreciated! '90 Beast, 0071.

Trico has 2 offerings for our ZR-1's......
Exact Fit 20-1
Exact Fit 20-2

20-1 will have interference with the hood. (don't know why this is still listed!!!)

20-2 fit perfect and does not come in contact with the hood.

Most auto stores carry them, if not their own online store's do. Ordered my
20-2's and had them shipped to my house.....

Do you still have the original 90 arms? The aftermarket replacements tend to be fatter. I believe the tricos will work with the original arms.

Thanks for the info. I've ordered a 20-2 via internet and am eager for it to arrive. Sure hope this works. By the way, i did not order the passenger side since that one is brand new and seems to work okay. Is that dumb?

I put Trico 20–2 on mine two weeks ago and they are fine. Advance auto parts had to order them for me but they were only 10 bucks apiece I have my original arrowheads saved

Rock Auto is showing Trico 20-2 for $1.28 ea on clearance. Hopefully they are right. I ordered 4, will post if they are correct for the Z and GS.

Ordered a 20-2 online as none of the local auto stores seemed to have it in stock. It arrived today. Installed. Voila! Problem solved. Thanks for all the help. Sure nice to have knowledgeable folks to poll with these cars! VA-rooom indeed!

Wipers came from Rock Auto. They were old stock Napa tru-fits. They fit the Z perfect. Didn't realize the stud on the GS is bigger so they won't fit it.
