Default ZF Differences LT1 vs LT5

What are any differences in the ZF LT1 and LT5 applications? What needs to be modified or swapped out for an LT1 ZF to fit/function in an LT5 application?

I have the ZF trans out of P9Y078. If I can rebuild it, I will do so. Just not sure if parts are available for a ZF made in 1987.

Thanks

Input shaft is different, Kurt has one on ebay, might just want to sell the one you have and buy the right one......

Thanks, Lee. Bought the shaft from Kurt. Just bought a complete take out ZF 6 speed system today with every single nut, bolt and part for installation. Bellhousing, flywheel, clutch/pressure plate, slave cylinder, drive shaft, ladder bar, etc. Got less than $1500 in everything, including Kurt's input shaft.

Bellhousing is different in the LT5 as well, along with the clutch fork and pivot stud

I have an LT5 bellhousing and can use the pivot stud and fork from the P9Y078 unit, I suppose.

Thanks, Jeff. Gotta get this car back together!
