Oil Leak Treatment
Anyone had experience with using Titan oil leak stop for a minor oil leak? My engine is the LT-5. Thanks.

Re: Oil Leak Treatment
I wouldn't recommend any type of oil leak stop additive. No idea as to what is in it and no idea as to its long term effect.
Where are the leaks on your LT5? |

Re: Oil Leak Treatment
I agree with Yun--Not a big fan of oil stop leak additives. Sometimes in the old days StopLeak for a radiator leak, but not for oil. Most leaks on the LT5 are well known issues and usually easily fixed, like those from the loose oil pan bolts. According to Marc Haibeck, the rear main seal rarely leaks, but cam sensors and oil sensors do. He has a summary about oil leaks on his website, www.zr1specialist. com. Here is a link: http://www.zr1specialist.com/HAT%20W...0the%20LT5.pdf. Good luck fixing yours. --Bob

Re: Oil Leak Treatment
Pull the angle braces at the oil pan and tighten all oil pan bolts. Then there is a plate on the right front of the engine that can leak. Check your oil cooler hoses too. The engines really are pretty tight. I have done all this on mine around 40 K miles. All is well now at 70k
