Default Will Wilwood front six piston Narrowlites Fit Behind A Molds?

Yes they will. I found out the hard way...

A few weeks ago a Ford Pickup truck towing a BMW decided to join me in my lane. In an effort to save my daily drive I curbed my front FIKSE FM-5 Hard as I was in the slow lane with no real estate but a sidewalk and curb.

As I rapidly ran out of air the truck continued to pull away without stopping. End result was Front wheel curbed hard and front tire destroyed...rear wheel slightly curbed. No further damage to the car.

So I had to mount up a 9.5 factory A mold and now I can inform the ZR-1 Community that a 6 Piston front Narrowlites will fit behind the factory sawblades AND the 94-96 A Molds.

Luckily I had a replacement rear on hand. I have ordered 2 outer rim barrels and I am having a front FIKSE FM5 made. Meanwhile the 91 is sporting 3 FIKSE FM-5s and a Sexy Collector edition rear A-mold up front.

LAG time is 8-10 weeks from FIKSE. Now made in Canada EH. Yikes.

Could have been way worse but Pissed as the knucklehead that caused the accident simply continued about his way without stopping. I am seriously considering a dash cam. The noise on impact was a sickening sound.

Sorry to hear of the mishap...
However, I am glad the damage was minimal and can relatively easily addressed.

I knew that OEM A-mold would fit (with 13" rotors) because me and Jim V. test fitted A-mold when I was converting to Wilwood brakes on my car.

It was a question Years ago in the Community. Nobody knew the answer and until about 3 days ago I did not have a front amold on hand to test if it fit. However you are correct they will fit behind a sawblade and a Amold

Bummer on the accident

At least there was no body damage (ZR-1 or you)

Stock Sawblades will not fit Wilwood/C5 Z06 Brake Conversion to add to your Technical Information

Wilwood C5 Z06 Brake Conversion with Sawblades

Oh....ya.....but you already have prolly done this.....(check front end alignment)....

What was your front tire air pressure before you hit the curb?

Dayam! Sorry 'bout the wheel, Daryl. BUT! Take it from me, it coulda been a lot worse! (I think I hold the dubious "honor" of having the most air in my Z, and still living (and driving) to tell about it! )

45 Pounds all around. I like a tight ride. ZO6 no it wont. Standard C5/C6 it will. Yep once it get in (The new Wheel) 4 wheel alignment again

I'm not sure if these are Narrowlites, they are behind '90 Saladshooters. 1510085024663.jpg1510085069624.jpg1510085506973.jpg
...thanks for confirmation on A-molds fitment. I was planning on refinishing a set for this car.

Glad to hear you didn't get injured, nor the car for the most part.
