WAZOO has been personally invited to participate in a Corvette Show. Show Information: **************************************** Jeff Barnes Chevrolet / PNC Bank / Classic Corvette Club of Maryland Your Host for: American Thunder Car Show Saturday, June 24, 2017 Rt 26 and Rt 32 - Sykesville, MD  Come spend the day with us and enjoy all makes and models of Corvettes NCCC Sanctioned 7 events. Registration fee $35 Bring the family and enjoy cars, food, and entertainment. Door prizes and 50/50 drawing. Registration opens: 9:00 am Registration closes: 12:00 pm Awards: 2:00 pm Proceeds benefit CCCM Charities. Hey, Nelson! I sent you an email last night and thought that I had sent you a private message here, but it looks like it never went out. If you have a minute, check your email and let me know if you can do me a favor on a car.
BTW, the family and I will be on vacation in Bavaria next week... flying into Zurich and staying on the western side, though! Wish that I could go to this with you guys... especially since it's just up the road from my house! I think that this is the one that a couple of us went to last year, but I could only stay for about an hour since it was the day of my daughters B-day party. Cheers, Scott

I am planning to bring a tent for some shade. If you have a fold up chair, bring it along. The show is at the Jeff Barnes Chevrolet dealership on the northwest corner of the intersection. Jerry warned that there are two entrances to the lot. One has a very steep incline from the road, so if you see that one, look for the other entrance. Jerry was asking me about ZR-1 performance so some of you >350 cubic inch guys might want to bring a dyno sheet to pass around. Also, if anyone has any show and tell items we can put on the table, bring them along. As the date gets closer we can talk about meeting and arriving as a group if anyone is interested. I just got back from the Sykesville area where I helped a new WAZOO member start a 1992 ZR-1 that has been in storage for 25 years. The Z has 1,900 miles on it and Dan is the original owner and has not driven the car since 1992. The car started right up and ran perfectly. Dan will be bringing this white on white "barn find" to the Car Show this coming Saturday. He told me he will wash it and apply the first coat of wax the car has ever had.
I hope everyone can join us at the show to welcome Dan and see this beautiful car. Jim |
