Hi,
I want to change my rear spring in the ZR-1 to a softer rate . My build sheet shows the front spring is code AA and the rear is NYR. Question is were can i find the spring rates for say an L98,LT1, LT4 etc. The car is used for drag racing 2 to 3 times a month, so i don't care about road course time. ZR1pete (fla) rpl his spring with a LT1 spring ,but he dose not know what the rate was. Were can i find the information that i'm looking for? Thanks John Becker 1990 black/white #2546 one of a few auto eq. zr-1's |

I wonder if that one had an oversteer problem. It looks like they got away from the large high difference of the rear wheel rate over the front wheel rate later.

Thanks for the link to late model suspension chart. I was able to convert the 92.2 n/m to lbs to get the spring rate. 92.2n/m x 8.850=815.97 lbs. So what i'm looking for is a rear spring that is 33.0 n/m (292 lbs) or a 26.0 n/m (230 lbs I will check for c4 spring from a corvette recycleing yard.
