C7 to Target 'New Audience'
http://www.corvettenewsblog.com/tag/c7-corvette-production/
"In addition to these changes, the next generation of Corvette engine will move to an overhead-cam configuration, instead of its current overhead-valve design." Could be very interesting.

Re: C7 to Target 'New Audience'
I guess the idea of making a bigger hammer each year had to stop somewhere... about time.

3.0L no way. There is no way they are going to allow Mopar and Ford have the biggest displacement in a factory built american sports car.

Re: C7 to Target 'New Audience'
I'm pretty sure the 5.5 ohv direct injection engine is not a misdirection and will be in the C7.
Either way, the C5/C6 will be considered the last of the cheap to build, large displacement play things and I hope that will keep their value high a few years down the road. |
