C quartz prep..
Winter here in the northeast...Recently been reading about the benefits of ceramic coating ( c quartz)..
My car is black....Thinking of doing this come March....Anyone ever use C quartz? What exactly are the steps leading up to applying the C quartz.....There's a few on you tube and it seems like a ton of prep... |

Re: C quartz prep..
Hello, ive done my 'Z with C quartz in may
yes it's a lot of prep first you need to wash the car properly and use a clay to remove every imperfection stuck in the paint then you need to polish the car with different level of abrusive to get rid of all defect (swirl, phantom, micro scratch, etc ...) then you need to put 1,2 or 3 pass of c quarz avoid direct sunlight of course and buff it with a good and heavy microfiber towel (it's really important to have a good one) then let the car stay for 24H away from rain (it will leave drop and it will stuck in the coating) for regular wash, you need to use a special shampoo designed for clear coat and a reload spray (like car pro) a very good video that resume all of this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byKcYsEyWGk so, if you can find a company that does it for cheap, it will save you a lot of work Last edited by DarkAngel; 12-17-2018 at 07:46 AM. |
