TPMS sensor compatability
Does anyone know if there are any modern tire pressure sensors, the ones that mount to the stem inside the wheel, that are compatable with the early systems we have in our cars?
To my knowledge there are currently 3 or 4 different oem suppliers that provide systems. Seems that would be preferable to the clunky sensors that many of us have removed because we don't trust them to come apart at speed. It would still be nice to have that system working. H

I would much prefer to have TPMS sensors working, but I don't like the band attachment and my OEM sensors didn't fit on 18" wheels. The valve stem style like the ones on my Escalade (and many other makes I'm sure) would be great. Wish they could be adapted to our display panel.

To my knowledge both our old ones and the new ones operate on radio frequency. It might just be as simple as knowing our frequency ranges and tuning the new ones accordingly. But then Jeff, you would certainly know allot more than I on that subject. Once we know the frequencies maybe Lee can get them made in China for a buck apiece.
