2020 Gathering 30th Anniversary

Hello,

I know it is early to discuss, but a group of us from Japan are planning to attend the 2020 C4 Gathering. The assumption is there will be a special 30th Anniversary celebration. So far I have interest of 4 ZR-1 and 1 LT1 member. I attended the 2010 20th Anniversary Gathering and it was awesome and well worth the travel from Hawaii.

At what point does the Registry BOD start planning for the Gatherings? I realize 2019 is not here, but it will come around fast I’m sure. All I can do right now is look at the agenda of the previous events to get an idea for the logistics. I can assume it is the middle weekend of May. Please let me know if and how I can be involved if help is needed.

Hey Steve,

If I have a car it will be a Hertz Corvette from Nashville airport rental. I thought about FEDEXing in the Z but it was a bit pricey....LOL.
How many days early do we need for the Mountain Run? We’ll probably end up renting a van. My plan was the Hertz Corvette until I knew a group was coming. Others have opted out from Hertz Vette rental.

The museum starts on Wednesday. Mountain run, probably Sunday.
My passenger seat is usually available, I know you won't want to do the MR in a van.

Okay, thanks Steve. Thanks for the seat offer. If there are offers for MR seats that would be great but was not planning to do it in the Van....LOL!! I suppose there will not be a tentative schedule until after 2019 Gathering, but I was not sure how far in advance is being planned. Is there even going to a big deal about the 30th Anniversary? Once the new BODs are in place I might get some answers.

Craig, we try to have the Gathering the week after Mothers Day. The MR will begin Monday May 11, 2020. Drivers meeting is usually on Mother’s Day. The Gathering will follow beginning on Wednesday night for pizza at the UPlaza on May 13, 2020

Thanks Dennis! This is a big help for coordination. I might be the only one to come early for MR and pick up the group on Wednesday. This is very good advance info for our planning. We all come from different regions of Japan so even more so. Looking forward to seeing you again in 2020.
