Fog light question! Possible to assemble them wrong or align them?
I'm curious about wether my lenses or fog lamp housings could have been assembled wrong if the bumper was off for painting etc ? My hid dogs put out a good bit of light. When Im parked 30 feet or so in front of a wall there is minimal light on the road ahead of me and a strong beam say 10 feet high and up. Just makes me wonder if there could be something off with the lenses or if they just don't help direct light on the road from the housings. Considering the car is really low as well I would have expected some light on the road.

There are two screws (I think torn heads), one for horizontal, another for vertical adjustment of the housing. If I remember correct, vertical adjustment is between the lamp housing and the bumper edge. Get a flash light and check around the housing.
Also, if you are running non-OEM type bulb, light source can be such that light pattern may not be focused as intended. |

10' off the ground and up sounds almost useless. I would think out of adjustment. Could the bulb be in upside down? Maybe the HID has an up and down side. Just a thought.

Even aligned correctly, the fog lights
are useless. |

They are the hid conversion bulbs. I'm already having ideas to put projectors in there so I can get good light from them. The bulbs themselves look the same as the oems im just really surprised by the light pattern from the housings. When people are crossing the intersection in front of me while I'm at a red light.. These light up the interior of the cars like its daylight .
