Default Hi all

Figured I'd post up a intro thread, and there's no intro area. I picked up 1990 ZR-1 #2517 about a week ago. I'm pretty excited about the car.

I've since noticed the backup lights don't work. The car also has the 1-4 shift disabled, so I thought it could be a fuse pulled. Heheh, nope. I searched the listserv archives and thought it was funny to see a post from the guy I bought it from asking about this same question (he mentioned he disconnected the CAGS). I guess I'll need to replace that backup switch on the tranny...

The car also has a secondary leak. The pump kicks on every 15 seconds or so for a brief instant. I'd guess this doesn't affect the operation of the secondaries, just causes the pump to run more than it needs to.

Here's a few pictures:

I like that the car is pretty stock, and thought about debadging the incorrect hood badges. But the more I see them, the more I like them.

I agree, it is a small world when it comes to ZR-1's.

I think it is a matter of taste regarding the badges. I also have a 1990 and would not put them on, but if you like them keep them. The only thing that really annoys ZR-1 owners is placing the badges on regular C-4's.

Looks like you picked up a real sweet looking ZR-1 by the pictures.

Well, if they weren't on there, I definitely wouldn't add the badges. But since they already are, ehh, I'm not sure. They do look nice, and it was eventually correct (much like the 5-spokes on the car). I dunno...

Maybe if I take them off, I can stick them on my daily driver. You know, so people know it's not my main car:
