Question about rear hatch glass..
As it stands the ZR1 is a very aerodynamic car..
However, with the top down and the windows down there is a drag With all the air going into the rear cabin... I think I saw awhile back that there is part you can buy that Raises the rear hatch glass a few inches so the incoming air has Some escape route... Anyone on the forum hear of something like this? Thank you.... |

I have one for my car, got it at carlise from a canadian car club, I've seen others like it but I would never drive with it in. I have visions of the rear hatch shattering into a million pieces

great product and I use it all the time. Not only for aerodynamics but I can hear my exhaust extremely well. go to corvettegadgetman.com and he sells this device. Your window will be very secure like if it was closed and you can drive around all day. it will leave a slight opening so the air can escape but it will remain locked so nobody can get in.

Some escape route... I think once you are at great speed most of the air goes right over. No problem for me with the top off to 125+. I am sure others have gone even faster with the windows down and the top off. Now for a real top speed run - helmet on, windows up and top on for sure - plus good tires and psi sensors removed.
