Default IT'S ALIVE

It's alive. The green monster 385 is alive. He went to sleep in October and came to life after a breif turn of the key. A little shakey for the first 30 seconds ....but it's alive I tell you ! Alive !

We are due to head on down to see our buddy's to the south and enjoy a nice Saturday of ribs....and some bean's and brew's. It's going to be a great time. Hope it's warm those beans are going to be tough though , hopefully it's warm so we can drive back up with the windows open.

A little clip courtesy of Carter on the after effect :

I feel really sorry for you guys who have to put your cars away for the winter, ESPECIALLY the Canucks. Kind of reminds me of this Torchwood episode.

I expected to see/hear an LSV.......I'm the only one that fell for it, right?

The clips gave me a good laugh though!

I cheated this winter. I had mine out last month for a 200 mile trip. There was no snow on the ground & the sun was out!

The car was built by LPE years ago. It's not an all out effort car and more or less one of the few original LPE cars left. I changed out a few parts and ended up putting it back to the way John originally made it.It runs through cat's and is emission compliant. She's an excellent cruiser and a beautiful example of the ZR1. HP is 485 on Marc's dyno.

I'll always have a stall for you Frank. Should be greaking ground on new shop within 2 weeks. Finally decided on a "cut & weld on site" steel building. Faster, stronger & more fire resistant than hybrid lumber/steel I was doing. Will have to brick & composition roof to comply with neighborhood covenants. Should be done in 3~4 months.

Sorry to hear about your fire. Hope all is well. We may be up in your neighborhood during July. Will give you a call.

c ya,

Yes, I'm also sorry to hear about the fire at your shop! I do hope that everything works out okay for you Frank.

Yes I'm trying to nail down my C0-Op with respect to the Gathering. There now seems to be some issues with the week they granted me. I've been a bit down about the prospect that the approval could be revoked.
I was looking with great interest at the events down VA way this Saturday. My Z is still in the shop and I may make a call to see what's up with the progress.

Frank, when is an acceptable time to call you? Ya know how it is with single guys, you can call them anytime.

AZ, hummmmmm, I hear the real estate down there is a good buy these days. I could really dig my own space in a reasonable environment.....no snow!

There are many longtime friends here. Been together since childhood , better and more loyal than family. We have been through childhood, teen years, loosing some to the reaper, some lost as hero's on 9/11, marriage, having children, divorce, loosing children parents etc. The list go's on and on. People are amazed at how close we all are and how long we all have been together. Need help, call and the whole clan comes , no questions asked.
That is what keeps me here. I couldn't replace that with all the money in the world.
And without them I'd be outta here in a "New York Minute" ! Bank on it.
