Default Changing of the Guard - 1990 # 996 Gets a New Home.

After months of hunting, I finally closed the deal today on a 22,500 mile, red on red 1990 ZR-1, number 996. Buying has been a challenge, as I'm in Canada, where ZR-1s are rare, and with the border closed, I couldn't get down to look at cars myself. Bob, however, was great to deal with, and the transaction worked out nicely.

Now comes the horrible part. Waiting for the truck to pick it up and get it here. Probably a couple weeks before it gets to me, what with customs and all. But while Bob has certainly looked after it well, I can't wait to get some tuneup parts ordered, and maybe some more of the usual items that like to go wrong in a 90 addressed with on my schedule. I'm certain I'll be here a lot, bugging you all for info.

Through this whole process, I met a number of good folks in this forum. A couple of times the trigger was almost pulled, and I'm sure I would have been happy with those cars. But finally, the right deal came together and I'm thrilled as heck.

And, it's red!
As you've probably learned during your search,
the red one's are fastest! 😀

Definitely. As soon as this craziness goes away, I'll be everywhere with it.
