Default New Tires

I'm planning to buy new tires for my 93 ZR-1 and was wanting to get an idea of what everyone thinks.

Mickey Thompson Street Comp have done well for me on highway and on track. They did great after a big rain on the NCM track in 2022. I auto cross with confidence on full brake and turn in. Their tread mimics a Michelin Pilot Sport. Minimum weights too. I got kudos from a local on a sport bike for keeping up with him on Blood Mountain in GA. My Z is 100 percent stock. I buy them from Summit.

For my '95 I bought Michelin Pilot Sports with 335/17 rears (they didn't make 315s) and stock size fronts from Costco back in 2014. They were reasonably priced and the installation was excellent. No balance problems and excellent warranty. I don't know if they still sell them. I always go to Michelins when I need tires. --Bob

For stock sizes the tires I keep hearing praises over and over are the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 for our Zs. They come standard on the C8s. I have them in my daily driver Benz and love them.

Michelin ps. Mine have 23,000 miles on them and are at 50% rubber left. Roll smooth at high speed. However I don?t race it. Two 6000 mile trips to NCM and one trip to Corvettes at Carlisle over the past 12 years.
