Default LT-5 Holiday Luncheon - Michigan

I was able to attend the annual holiday luncheon which was hosted by the father of the ZR-1, Mr. Dave McClellan at his residence.

In attendance was Jim Minneker, Tim Holland, Roy Midgley, Werner Meier, Bob Lambe, David Johnson, Marc Haibeck and Jerry Burton. We watched video of the 24-Hour record run and heard stories of their efforts and failures. We also had a tour of the residence and the Office/Garage. (Pretty Impressive!)

Fantastic!!! How does one get invited to something like that? Or is it more of a closed event?

It started as a luncheon with just GM retirees that were involved with the ZR-1. Then over the past few years, since Dave McClellan began driving his car more and participating with other enthusiasts in Michigan, it has grown to incorporate others. It's still pretty much a closed event, that is coordinated by Dave. This is only the second or third time in recent history it has been at his home. Usually it is at a local restaurant.

Great pics Joe. I enjoyed being at McClellan’s home for the bbq a few years ago.
That’s when we did a rehab of the top end of his LT-5 and we found a electrocuted mouse under the starter. 😂😂😂😉

In the first picture, it kind of looks like Tom Peters, who is sitting between Jim Minneker and Roy Midgely. Is that him?

Very nice get together!
