Default Good heavens it's loud.

Got the headers done and the 3" exhaust done.

Good golly, Miss Molly this thing's loud now.

Even if I close the baffles on the PE's it's loud.

Lost a minor amount of torque on the bottom end, or the C-Beam plates work that well, the rear-end doesn't kick out anymore.

Mr. Flint, get to work!!!! Scotty needs more power.

I've got the 4.10s in it now. It will still bake the 315's, just not quite as vigourously as before.

I think it has more to do with the c-beam supports.

Jeff has my IH's and Plenum to do his work with. I hope by September?

UPDATE!!!

This thing has LOTS of blowby. I'm seriously in doubt that it will pass smog on the "visable smoke test".

Could be a potential issue.

Heck, I may have to put the cats back on just to clean her up a bit.

Man does she sound good though.

Sorry for the dumb Q's

where do you think the "blow by" is coming from? lack of valve stem seals on the exhaust side on our 90's? Can the better scavenging effect of headers really do that? It can't be the rings, can it?

I remember in the old days....back in the 60's & the 70's ......when a new exhaust sys was installed they used to smoke a bit for a little while till they were 'run-in'...
