Default High rise hood from corvette central

Last saturday some low-life hit the drivers side front corner of my 91' while I was in the grocery store. I came out to find the headlight bucket crushed in,cracks in the hood above the wheel well, and the bumper half way ripped off. I just had the body shop give me an estimate of $6,600.00. Any way, since I have to replace the hood, I told the body shop that I wanted to go with a hi-rise. I like that cowl induction look. The body man told me that those type of aftermarket parts never fit right and it was going to cost extra for him to fit it to the car. Has anyone put one of these hoods on their Z? And if so did you have any problems getting it to fit correctly? Thanks for any help on this.

The toledo pro high rise hood fits well and was an easy prep.

I know another ZR-1 owner who went that route after an accident. I don't remember him saying there was any fit issue what so ever, and it looked great.

I'll bet it will look awesome.
