Default Anyone Shown Their ZR1 In An Ncrs Event?

If so, were the dates on your wheels judged or not? I don't own an earlier ZR1 any more and am not certain that the 90-93 wheels had dates; do they? The 94-95 wheels do, and when I looked at the NCRS judging manual for 90-91, it did not ask the judges to check for casting dates on the wheels.

Trying to decide whether to keep my original wheels on my 95 for future judging or use some absolutely perfect ones made in 97 (which I will do if dates are noit being judged).

Thanks for any information.

It will probably be a few years before a 95 is is judged.

I think it is fair to say never get rid of any original dated parts. NCRS judges the date code on C-3s. It is probabily only a matter of time before they will judge date codes on C-4s.

Zovick,
I just looked at the 90-91 NCRS Judging and Information guide. The wheels are date coded near the valve stem. They have month, day, and size code. They also judge the spare which for a 90-91 is code FZ. The stamping reads "K", for Kelsey Hayes a second charter of 1, 3, 4, 5, or 6 indicating the plant. A third character is usually present to indicate the year, being a 0 or 1 or 90 or 91. In 2007 92 and 93 Corvettes become eligible for NCRS judging, and in 2008 the 94 and 95 Corvettes will be eligible. That means by 2008 all ZR-1 will be eligible for NCRS. Start saving, or collecting any ZR parts, as they will be in big demand by 08. If you need any additional info please feel free to e-mail me.
