Default 90-91 X-Brace ZR-1?

Reading the NCRS manual, it says 90-91 COUPES all came with an X-Brace, I thought this was convertible only. Can anyone verify X-Brace on 90-91 ZR-1?

Thanks!

Wouldn't be the 1st time NCRS was confused...

OBTW: How many ZR-1s have achieved Top Flight awards? 😀

I had a 91. No X brace. Neither on a 94.
I did get a X brace, stich weld and closed it into sort of box section and had it bolted/weld & bolted on to 91. Added maybe 70 lbs but stiffened the car substantially.
This was done by Corvette Masters in Maitland, FL around 1994.

Is the convertible X-brace without mods a direct bolt on?
Worth the effort?

That's wrong. Only convertibles came with the X-Brace. Yes they will bolt directly on to a ZR-1. We have one here locally where it was added. Yes, they do help stiffen the car.

Doug,

If I remember correct, front there is a threaded hole ready for bolts. Rear, required captive bolt or nut welded on.
OEM x brace is stamped member and not that strong. I had the shop close it off with steel sheet. Can?t remember the gauge.
