Default Shifter T-Handle

I know you guys prefer the Hurst or ZF Doc's short throw shifter but until then, thought I would try ZR1Mike's T-Handle advertised on the registry site.
I was pleasantly surprised. The polished stainless steel is like a jewel and "handlebar" type grip is more comfortable to me than the "knob."

What is the advantage of the stainless over the aluminum? Appearance? Sweaty hand corrosion resistance? Does the aluminum make your hand black after a long day? I like it. I have a birthday soon too.

I haven't seen the aluminum but prefer stainless for the reasons you gave plus it won't scratch as easily and I was planning on polishing it. As received, the finish is literally glass-smooth so I didn't have to do anything to it. The font used for the ZR-1 engraving appears to be accurate too.

Happy with the shift quality with all that added weight?
My old shift knob rattled, finding a new one turned out to be much more of a chore than expected.

You're right it is a quite a chunk of weight.
With salt back on the roads again this week in Pittsburgh I haven't had a chance to drive it more than a few miles last weekend so hard to say yet if it really effects shifting. I do like the "knuckles up" hand position.
It comes with a couple of set screws so that you can clock the position to your preference. I wasn't thrilled about marring the shifter shaft with the set screws so I bought some replacements with brass tips. (#10-24 thread)

Received the SS T-handle from Mike today. Outstanding workmanship. Finish is so shiny I’ll be needing sunglasses for daytime driving. If you are like me and prefer T-handles you’ve got to have one of these fine pieces.
