Default ZR-1's on Carsonline

Saw these ads on Carsonline and thought I would share it in case someone is looking for a car. I do not know anything about any of these cars though.

Yup, based on the number of ZR-1s for sale in general they are certainly not rare or hard to find, cheap even, in some cases.

Always amazes me that so many sellers have a poor description of what they're selling....

"Corvette ZR-1. Local Trade, Low Miles, and Heated Leather Seats."

At any given time, there are about 40-50 cars for sale online (probably another 20 at dealerships not posted online). Every year, every color, DRM conversions, Haibeck conversions, low mileage, mid mileage (very few high mileage).

Prices are down from last May, but have remained pretty flat since that dip. We're going through another parts liquidation phase right now too.

Every Corvette is down in price so you have to be realistic with the market if you want to sell....Its as simple as that..

ZR1's are often bought by people who want a ZR-1.....Most people who want just a corvette will opt for a newer one...Less wrenching, automatic transmission, etc etc..

Original owners of these cars will take a beating when they sell, along with the C6ZR1 generation....

One of the most successful and well off men I ever met, gave me sound advice and said NEVER buy a new vehicle... of any kind. A year or 2 old is perfectly fine. This guy could have afforded pretty much any car...

Not sure how that applies here...lol. But sound advice indeed. I've never had a new car payment and never will.

The number of production cars in the history of the automobile that have appreciated within 5 years of production could probably be counted on one hand. The number that have appreciated in 10 years probably isn't much more. As a wild a** guess, I would say the average collector car doesn't start appreciating in value until it's 30+ years old.

With that perspective, the number of original owners of ZR-1s that will see their money back is zero. The number of second owners who will see a profit is probably almost zero.

This sentence from the above post brought that to mind....

"Original owners of these cars will take a beating when they sell, along with the C6ZR1 generation...."
