The story didn't include why the car DNF at those tracks.

Last couple of weekends I have fallen down the Le Mans rabbit hole.....First watching an amazing documentary on the making of, Steve McQueen making the movie Le Mans. Then finding another amazing Doc on Netflix, about Carroll Shelby and his history with Ford and the GT40 program....both of those had incredible old footage and interviews. To me that is the heyday of Le Mans, 1960 to about 1975. The cars were insane looking, had stupid high HP numbers, and safety equipment / safety measures?? Not at ALL like today, those cats were truly big balled racers.
Last thing I watched was another Doc on the current Ford GT and its return to Le Mans. Racing is so technical now compared to the 60s and 70s. But no matter what year, there is nothing like the sound of a V-8 ripping down the Mulsanne straight!

I have read a little about the history of the LT5 at Le Mans on here before, was it a write up from Hib or in an issue of the HOB newsletter?? Either way that Zr-1 looks kinda like a Ferrari F40. Kinda lol..... Are any of the LT5 Le Mans cars still around in one piece??
