Delco fuel pump assembly- source?
Can anyone tell me if Delco FLS 1102 is the correct assy. for my 91” ZR-1 ?
If so, who’s the best source? I tested the pump pressure today because of these symptoms: Very long crank time 5 to 10 seconds to start. Sluggish acceleration. But driveable. Pressure gauge says 37-38 lbs at idle, 37-42max at steady cruise (60 in 4th gear,) Last pump replacement- 20 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

That I'd think is a complete sender/tree with 2 pumps, socks etc. If someone had that available NIB I'd think it would have an 8-digit GM number on the label also or maybe someone is just using it as a 'reference' for resale.
You maybe need to pass on more info .. If you didn't have a fuel level issue I'd think you would want to do pumps & socks disregarding the 'level sender'. |

The stock spec is 50.8psi, both at idle and at steady state crusie that you have described will give a lower spec as the FPR is reducing fuel rail pressure, because the injectors are being exposed to engine vacuum. The whole purpose of the vac referenced FPR is to keep the pressure differential across the injector pintle CONSTANT as engine vacuum varies. Otherwise fueling would be inaccurate. Imagine your pursed lips are the fuel injectors and when at WOT you can easily blow air in consistent amounts. Now try and blow consistent amounts of air through your pursed lips(injectors) with a vacuum cleaner hose on your mouth, doesn't work to well. When your engine is idling or cruising(almost idling) with all the throttle plates closed, that vacuum is literally trying to pull more fuel out of the injectors than would happen when all the throttle plates are open at WOT, or when the engine is OFF. The FPR keeps the IFR constant regardless of engine vacuum. The correct spec is 50.8 psi(350kpa). Perhaps a drive with the gauge taped to your windshield is in order. A couple seconds of WOT in any gear(4-5-6) will tell you how close to 50.8psi you are. You just have to get the throttle bodies open to reduce intake vacuum. If you cycle the key a few times and your extended crank time diminishes, it could be indicative of worn pumps letting pressure back into the tank, or leaky injectors, or leaky FPR.
