Default Replacing rear rotors and pads

1 I have several questions that the FSM doesn't elaborate on. Why does it say to replace the caliper bracket mounting bolts and the upper(leading)slide pin bolt but not the lower(trailing)slide pin bolt?
2 Why do the slide pins have those flat sides yet the hole in the caliper is round and allows the pins to rotate freely?
3 What is the part number for the caliper bracket mounting bolts?
Thanks for any clarification.
