Default oil pressure sensor socket

Where can I get a socket that fits our oil pressure sensor. I see it's 1 3/16 inch but all the sockets I find are to shallow. It appears it needs to be at least 3 1/4 inch deep.

I picked one up from O'reillys this summer for around $7, it was labeled as an oil pressure sensor socket.

You can also try Lisle #13250 found on ebay. Size is 1 1/16", and fits switches up to 2 5/8" long. Just tried mine on the 94 and it fits perfect.

The oil pressure sending unit on my 90 is 1 3/16. It is 3 1/4 inch tall. The sockets at Advance.O'reilly Napa and Harbor freight are all 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 deep.

KPW I'm trying your way of changing out the alternator w/o removal of throttle body. I've got everything unbolted except the oil pressure sensor and battery cable on back of alternator.

Thanks roadster. I just ordered it. It arrives on Feb 6. I thought I had everything I needed until that socket turned out to be extra special.

No problem Gary, I may be doing the samething with my replacement alternator that is on the car, as the fan blade is rubbing, and no matter what I do about the blade hitting the housing, it doesn't work, or only works for a short time and then the noise is back.....lol
So keep us posted, I may start on it tomorrow......
