Re: mechanic
How severe is your issue? How handy a mechanic are you?
A BIG help is to use this forum to look up your problem and see if you can handle it yourself. Join the ZR-1 Net Registry! Beyond that, most basic C4 problems can be handled by usual auto mechanics and "corvette centers." You could even talk to the mechanics at a Chevrolet Dealership and see if they work on many C4's or who they would recommend. Be Careful! A specific deep LT5 issue is another story. Some local owners report hit and miss success with local referrals. Some are also lucky with finding a ZR-1 enthusiast close-by to help with repairs. Ie come over and work together. Then there are some of us who shipped our cars out of state to a known & trusted shop. From Calif they are in Chicago (Mark Haibeck, Pete P) and Texas (Corey Henderson) http://zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28634 Good Luck!
