Default Plenum Pull - Anything Else I should do?

Well, I got up the courage this weekend to tackle the plenum (while I waited for the parts for the FX3 system to arrive).

I bought a set of GM "look alike" injectors from FIC, and the Haibeck video. The biggest issue with the pull was getting the cap off the blasted overflow coolant tank (to drain out the coolant) it just did not want to come off. Everything else has gone smoothly so far.

Did a lot of cleaning up under there (using a rag, TSP, solvent and toothbrush), and have now re-installed the rails with the new injectors in. I had 3 primary and 3 secondary injectors with less than 9 ohms, one primary and one seconday had less than 6 ohms. I am hoping I will feel a difference (and the car - when it warms up - won't sound like my TDI any more).

I have re-torqued the IH, the air box bolts, powerd up the fuel pumps and checked for leaks, tested the operation of the secondaries. The coil packs and wires were changed about 6 years (about 10K miles ago) - so did not touch those.

I am now ready to put the plenum back on. Is there anything else I should do or check beforehand? Anything else I should know about re-assembly (mine is a 90)?

Sounds good, here's a few more suggestions.... cap off the remaining open vacuum lines and test to see if the system holds vacuum. If not, use hairspray as a sealant on the connections. I also use small zip ties around the rubber lines where they connect to plastic or steel lines.
Remember, blue loctite is your friend on bolts.
Make sure you check the PCV valves and hoses for tight fit, again small zip ties help here. The hoses should be in good shape, not too hard or too soft.
When you pressurized the fuel system, did you check for leaking injectors into cylinders? Better to know now that your rebuilt injectors are OK (or not) Wouldn't be the first time.
Good Luck

I used Blue loctite on the fuel rails and the fuel line connection. The IH bolts and breather bolts needed minimal tightening - so I let them be.

I am thinking I may try to re-coat my visible bolts which are showing some rust (or maybe go to SS) - so will not loctite them

Checked the new injectors for leaks - they are good.

I've got my tie wrap selection ready. I was going to use silicon for any loose fittings, + tie wrap - is hair spray better than slicone?

Look at it this way, silicone is a lubricant not a sealant. Hairspray (extra hold) is a glue. Which do you think will do a better job of preventing vacuum leaks.
