Custom steel tubing/re-inforcemne in the engine bay.
I just noticed in this YouTube the owner has steel tubing wrapped around the engine bay.
Connecting at the hood supports on each side with a joining in the middle. Weather you like the wing or not the car is pretty bad ***! https://youtu.be/9qWI3v0hIR0 Engine bay shots start at 1:32 and the best view at 4:35 Anyone know who's car this is? Appears to be in Japan possibly?

Re: Custom steel tubing/re-inforcemne in the engine bay.
The caption says it is an '89 and it clearly has a body kit.Hard to tell. It seems to have a Power Switch but the dash could have been a regular '89. Think there is any chance he transplanted an LT5 into an '89 C4? My guess is probably not but not clear what year. --Bob

Wonder what's done to the engine? And also what are those items on the valve covers? Custom badging?

Custom steel tubing/re-inforcemne in the engine bay.
Nice video find; never seen this one before.
This is another ZR-1 West Racing car in Japan. All the Zs there seem to have the same Rays (Volks Racing, TE37) wheels too. I’ll check to see if the guys know this owner. One of the guys in the Z group there had a car with the same front frame stiffener on his Z, but has since sold it and has a C6 Z06 now. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/a2rg89j/ Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: Custom steel tubing/re-inforcemne in the engine bay.
Those West Racing Z's are some beastly creations. I'd considere give my left nut for one. Which says a bit, as I usually hate massive F&F spoilers.
These body-kits are no longer to be found - yes?
